my best friend hit me

Dear friend,

This story is about two friends who are walking in the dessert.

At a certain point in time during the journey they got into q fight and one friend hit the other in the face.

The one, who was hit, was hurt, but without saying a word he wrote in the sand:
“Today my best friend hit me in the face”

The walked on until they found an oasis where they dedided to take a bath. The one who was hit, got stuck in the mud and nearly drowned, but his friend saved his live.

After he regained his breath, he engraved in stone:
“Today my best friend saved my life”

The friend who had hit his best friend in the face and saved him asked: “After I hit you, you wrote in sand and now you engrave it in stone. Why?

The other friend answered:
If somebody hurts us we must write it in the sand where the wind of forgiveness can erase it.
But if somebody does us good, we should engrave it in stone so that no wind an never wipe it out.

“Learn to write your pains in the sand and to engrave your good experiences in stone”

People say that it takes minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but after that a whole live time to forget them.
